SHAH ALAM: An email believed to be written by missing British teenager David Renz Galletes Balisong was sent to his parents urging them not to try and locate him, say police.
“The email was sent to his mother on July 9. It said not to worry or try to find him.
“It also said that he prayed for the well-being of all his family members, that he was sorry for doing so (disappearing) and that he was not sure when he would return,” Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said.
He was asked for updates on the missing person case during a press conference at the police contingent headquarters here yesterday.
Comm Hussein said Balisong is believed to still be in the country and urged those with any information to contact the police.
The teenager, who has been reported missing, arrived in Malaysia on June 7.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, singer Datuk Amy Search has filed a police report against another singer, Shila Amzah.
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the report was lodged.
This comes after Shila, 34, claimed she was assaulted by a singer during a rehearsal for a concert.
